Without dad

Listen to the item

David Hunt's father,Tom, was lost when a transatlantic airliner disappeared in the 1950s. David was 11 years old.

A combination of his mother's grief, her guilt, and the almost casual way in which his father's death was handled left David wondering what, exactly, his father meant to him.

David talks to Paul about father and how his death affected him when he was growing up.
