Mary Rowell
Mary Rowell - looking good

New face

Listen to the item

For the best part of 60 years, Mary Rowell found it harder than most to experience those, 'You'll do' moments in the bathroom mirror. Her chronic lack of self confidence began very early on. Mary was bullied at school, and later married a man who abused her.

After 15 years Mary left her husband. Some years later she re-married and even though her second husband is kind and loving, Mary still believed she was ugly. Eventually she decided to have cosmetic surgery.

Mary talks to Tom about how her facelift has changed not only her looks, but what she feels about herself too.
