Basil and Pam have been friends with Jan and Ian for over 30 years. For more than 20 years they've been sending the same birthday card to each other.
The card, a Mr Man design for a 4 year old, was 'adapted' for Basil's 42nd birthday and has been posted 84 times. The sendee updates the card with family news, birthday wishes, and the occasional rude rhyme. The card, bulging now with all the messages, is due for a card itself as it approaches its 21st birthday.
