Earlier this year, Gail Chaplin, her husband Barry and two of their daughters, 21-year-old Cassie and 16-year-old Vicky visited Ethiopia with Lenny Henry. Over the years, the family, and Gail especially, have been enthusiastic fund-raisers for Red Nose Day. They were chosen for the trip because of all their hard work.
In Addis Ababa the Chaplins met some of the people who have benefited from Comic Relief; mothers with AIDS, a midwife and a project that rescues children from the streets.
Gail in particular is a dynamic force for Red Nose Day. She talks to Jo about about the trip and how she feels about what she saw in Ethiopia.
