Susan Ramsarin was ordained in 1994 and is now the rector of two villages in Kent - Plaxtol and Shipbourne.
When Susan abandoned her previous life her beloved horseTrilby was the one thing she just could not bring herself to leave behind. Trilby played a vital role during the early years of Susan's ministry ferrying her mistress around two far-flung parishes where bridle paths are often the fastest way to get from A to B. She also helped to break the ice with sometimes suspicious parishioners. Sadly Trilby died several years ago and Susan has never yet found a horse to match her.
Reporter Sara Parker caught up with Susan as she departed on parish business. This time she rode Dusky, kindly lent to her by the church warden.
