June is 56 and married with two children. She works as a senior carer in a residential home for the elderly. This doesn't sound like the stereotypical image of a person who's been the victim of a stalker.
Four years ago, June's life was made a misery by the husband of a woman who worked in the same office. June had occassionally made him coffee whilst he waited for his wife, but that was the limit of their acquaintance.
The man began to phone her constantly, sent letters and flowers and waited outside work for her. This was distressing enough in itself, but when he sent her threats against her daughter and husband she became really frightened.
The police eventually searched his house and found enough evidence to charge him with stalking. He was sentenced to 3 months in prison and now has a restraining order served on him to stop him from making any future contact.
Although this happened 4 years ago, June still feels concerned that the stalker may try and make contact again. But what she'd really like to know is, why did he pick her?
