Polish love

Listen to the item

What was it about the Poles who came to Britain in the Second World War which seemed to charm a generation of British women?
Ania has an answer based on her mother's experience. Her mother, Emma, known as Emmie, didn't fall for just one Pole, she fell for two; Egon - who was killed during the war, and Ania's father.

Ania talks about her mother's past and why she'd like to get in contact with anyone who may have known Egon(Ania doesn't know his last name).
