Playing Santa

John Percival plays Santa Claus at a department store in Northampton every Saturday in the run up to Christmas. He follows in a family tradition; his dad played Santa for many years.
With his rather portly figure and authentic white Santa Claus beard, John's in demand at this time of year.
In order to be a good Santa, John believes you need to be fond of children, be a bit childish yourself and get immersed in the role by fully understanding the history and significance of the character.
