Listen to the item

Jenny Bradley, from the village of Slaidburn in North West Lancashire has been a slave to the oom-pah since she was a slip of a thing, but her early attempts to join a band were cruelly spurned.

However, at the age of 68 she decided to have another crack at it. Now, she can legitimately lay claim to the sobriquet "Hot Lips."

Reporter Judy Merry went to talk to Jenny and her husband Don about cornets, big bass drums and all that jazz.
