Teresa Parker

The Peacemaker

Listen to the item

Teresa Parker, took a gap '3 months' to go to the West Bank as a human rights worker and observer.
Teresa is a Quaker and through them she heard about the Ecumenical Accompaniment programme in Palestine and Israel. She gave up her job as a mental Health worker and joined the group.

Her job was to witness what both the Israelis and the Palestinians were going through, and then try to relate their stories to a wider audience back in the UK in the hopes of raising awareness about the dilemmas facing both sides.

Teresa tells John what inspired her to leave her job and go out to the West Bank.
