Jo Simpson

Learning to read and write

Listen to the item

Jo Simpson would have loved to have been able to spell her name for herself but frustratingly for her, she was dyslexic.

She had no idea she was dyslexic until a few years ago, when she was 64.

Jo had got through by pretending she could read and write, quite an achievement when you consider that Jo managed to keep a steady job and bring up three children.
