It all started when Jane Leslie's daughter, Charlotte, emailed Home Truths with a cry for help.
The Leslies are a normal, well-adjusted family with a father, mother and two children; Charlotte and her younger brother. But trouble has broken out between the women of the family.
The problem seems to be ambition. Everything Charlotte does, her mum takes up and ends up doing it just that little bit better.
It wasn't always this way, and in the hope that John could help the get to the bottom of the trouble, they both came along to the Home Truths studio to tell their story.
