Ian's 19-year-old daughter Maria has just returned from 6 months working as a volunteer in a home for abandoned girls in Paraguay.
Ian couldn't wait for Maria to get back to swap stories and find out how much things have changed since he was a volunteer in South America 35 years ago.
After seeing Maria and talking to her about her trip, Ian can see changes in her; not so much on the surface but he can see a maturity in her that wasn't there before.
