The scene is set in the fresh bracing air of the seaside circa 1931 and the story is of an epic car journey Sheila O'Riordan made from Cork to the seaside resort of Youghal. 

The car, called "Dinky" was a very recent acquisition of her Uncle Jack Duggan. Uncle Jack was driving - sort of - and was aided by his redoubtable wife, Nellie, a woman known not just to her family but to everyone for miles around as quite simply 'the auntie'...
