 Listen to the item
In 2000, the Narantsogt family were forced to flee their native Mongolia. They made their home in Liverpool but this June their application for asylum was rejected on the grounds that it had been lodged too late and the family was uprooted to Dungavel Detention Centre in Lanarkshire to await deportation.
Before they had to move away from Liverpool, 8-year-old Misheel had entered a competition to become the princess in Liverpool's Lord Mayor's Parade. She won and returned to Liverpool to ride around the city in style.
