Frank grew up in a respectable working class family in Coventry, was the youngest of 6 children and in his teens became a skinhead involved in serious gang and street fighting.
Frank was convicted for four violent offences and for petty theft but at 33 went back to college to get some qualifications.
He has used the experiences of his turbulent early life to good effect as a probation officer in a tough part of Birmingham.
