The Gannocy Estate has been a haven of beauty and bounty with the finest hunting, shooting, and fishing, looked over by the Laird and his staff of farmers, foresters, game- keepers and shepherds living in cottages scattered across the estate - but no more.
The present laird sold up to a business conglomerate who then decided to sell it on for profit. The residents, some 4th generation, were only given 6 weeks notice.
Alistair Tyrie and Mavis have lived at their cottage over 6 yrs and feel that they are, in effect, the new asylum seekers, being forced to look for a new home, new job and a new community.
