Elaine and Gary Hesketh have been together for 10 years. They have four children, three of them together.
But when Elaine met Gary her first reaction was, "Yuk! He's so loud!" Undaunted by Elaine's initial reluctance, Gary continued his pursuit of her. In spite of an the odds stacked against their relationship ever getting off the ground, it blossomed - but they never actually tied the knot.
Recently Elaine's father became seriously ill. She had always wanted him to walk her down the aisle, and so Elaine and Gary decided this was the time to get married. By now, Elaine was well-used to Gary's practical jokes, but even she was taken aback by the mode of transport he'd arranged to take them from church to reception...
