Single Life

Listen again

Andrew was fed up with being a male Bridget Jones...

Andrew wanted to know where a 33 year old man, witty, caring and considerate, could meet single women of similar ilk.

So when a flyer landed on his doormat offering speed dating services, Andrew knew that fate had just lent him a hand.

But although the experience had a happy outcome, it wasn't entirely the one Andrew expected...

Speed dating: How does it work?

A similar number of men and women of approximately the same age get together in the same room…preferably with a bar! Everyone gets a pen and paper. The girls sit at separate individually numbered tables. The men have individual numbers stuck on their jackets and get three minutes with every one of the women. After the three minutes, both men and women write next to the appropriate number whether they want to see this person again as an 'ideal match' as a 'friend' or 'never see them again'.
