Zimbabwean Refugees

Listen again in full

Sidney and his family were forced to flee Mugabe's regime...

Farmers and farm labourers in Zimbabwe

Sidney and his wife Juliette are Zimbabweans. For ten years, Sidney served in the Zimbabwean police force in the rural area of Mashonaland. But they now live as refugees in London with their two little girls.

Sidney enjoyed his work as a middle-ranking police officer. But last year, during the course of his duty, he got caught up in an incident between white farmers and war veterans. As a result, the family were forced to flee to Britain.
