FROM YOU

Judy, as we Know and Love Him
Our thanks to Gareth Price for this classic shot of John from the Newcastle Evening Chronicle. "Somewhere over the Rainbow..."

Sign of the Cross

Junk Mail is back by popular demand!

Guests at the wedding
Sign of the Cross
Canon Peter Stephens was a guest on Home Truths last year. His is the lawn mown with exquisite precision into a map of Britain. John asked if the sign of the cross featured anywhere in the design, to which the Canon replied 'no'. But now he writes:
'It happens that when we asked all the guests to my daughters wedding to stand where they come from, we did indeed end up with a cross shape.'

Junk Mail
A postman of 19 years standing, Brian Savage suggests that if you write 'Gone Away' on envelope, the postman must take note. Returned mail is endorsed by the postman who delivers it.

Other suggestions are:
The Bereavement Register which is run by the REaD Group
By Post: The Read Group (UK) Ltd
Freepost SEA 8240
Sevenoaks, TN13 1YR

By Telephone 0870 600 7222
By Fax 0870 400 5644

or:
The Mail Preference Service
FREEPOST 22
London W1E 7EZ

Both companies provide lists of people who have died to direct mail companies, who then edit their lists accordingly.

Many thanks to everyone who contacted us.
