Cold Cuts

Still clearly shaken after her ordeal, Louise Steidl emailed us to share her trauma...

Fridge contents
Untidy fridge
Owner wishes to remain anonymous
We hosted a drinks party and at the end of the party one of our guests wives was waiting at the front door for her husband in order to leave. He was nowhere to be seen, when I asked her if she knew where he could possibly be she replied "Oh don't worry, he's probably going through your fridge." "Why on earth would he be doing that?" I asked thinking the poor chap was obviously starving. "He always does that. He reckons you can tell a lot about people by the content of their fridges."

My heart sank as I began to imagine all those out of date yoghurts, the little pots of leftovers with layers of mould growing on them. The carton of apple juice, so out of date that it's about to explode! After all it's one thing to glance into someone's shopping trolley to get an idea of their tastes. It's quite another to spy on the remains and meals about to be consumed.

What does your fridge say about you?
And more to the point, what do you think
other people's fridges say about them?
