Forget the skirl of the pipes and the screech of the fiddle, Scottish music just got funky. Sally Magnusson travels throughout the Highlands, meeting young musicians who are giving traditional music a contemporary twist.

Dougie Pincock is a piper from Plockton who makes the bagpipes sound like a team player. As Director of the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, Dougie is also raising the status of traditional music in the Scottish Highlands and beyond.
