Celebrated poets Michael Symmonds Roberts and Imtiaz Dharker combine with composer John Harle to create Cleaning the Pipes, a response to Britain's initiative to bring stability to the Helmand province of Afghanistan. The Commander of the Task Force described their role thus: "We are not here as a colonial force to come and sort out the problems. Our role is to clean the pipes and get things flowing again".
