Granny Trek
7 December 2007
This week Clare proves you're never too old to start rambling, with Beryl Griffiths and her friends from GrannyTrek
Clare meets Beryl Griffiths, who started GrannyTrek in 2005, her ambition being to motivate a band of Grannies to march across the country. Beryl set up GrannyTrek as a way of celebrating her 65th birthday and also to raise money for a local children's hospice. Since the early days the operation has grown and grown, and now over 700 people join in the walks.
This route is a lovely circular walk near Bristol, starting at Charlton Farm in Wraxhall. It has great views across to Wales, Bristol and the Mendips.
