Tahir Shah is an author, journalist and documentary maker whose new book In Arabian Nights uses stories and storytelling to reveal l some of the real Morocco. Tahir was born in London, but his earliest memories are of the streets that make up the Medieval Medina of Fès. In his late teens he was encouraged to travel alone, going first to America followed with a journey to central Africa. Tahir now lives in Casablanca.
