Night Lines

Would you pick up a ringing payphone? That's what Alan Dein is hoping as he dials across the globe. Talking to strangers anywhere, anytime, listening as the phonebox becomes either a story box or a confession booth.
A full Moon illuminates the outside of Broadcasting House as Dein begins his late shift in a lonely studio on the 8th floor.
Dialling into the deep night, he encounters the lonely, the lost, the brave and the strange - from a security guard in the Florida Everglades to a Kiwi transexual in pig tails and onto a vision of violent, teenage hell on the Margate seafront.
