25 December 2006

Monday 25 December 2006 14:45-15:00 (Radio 4 FM)

Art historian Brian Sewell examines the relationship between the Anglican Church and contemporary artists. Focusing on one work of art per programme, Brian investigates the unique and often tumultuous partnership between the Church of England and its artisans, and asks in his own inimitable fashion if this relationship has successfully stood the test of time in Britain.

Brian visits Philip Jackson (Royal Sculptor to Queen Elizabeth II) at Chichester Cathedral.

The remaining episodes throughout the week begin at 3.45pm.
