This week's programme
Scottish crime writer Denise Mina introduces her new novel, 'The Field of Blood', set in Glasgow in 1981. We take a journey to the original 39 Steps in Kent, which inspired John Buchan to write the classic adventure story. Listeners give their response to our latest Reading Clinic on books for the broken-hearted. And how Renaissance self help manuals encouraged Matt Thorne to begin a series of books for children.
