Listen to the interview with Ron McLarty
Do you have a literary query? Write to us at the Reading Clinic. This week's programme
Mariella Frostrup talks to Ron McLarty about his powerful newly published novel, The Memory of Running. Despite writing it way back in the 1980s, it burst onto the literary scene only relatively recently after being discovered by Stephen King. Beyond the prison doors - Open Book hears from writer Stephen Leather and the prisoners themselves on the best things to read "inside". Plus what's hot in Spain? We take a look at Spanish fiction as Latino writers become ever more popular.
