Over a fifteen-year TV career she has continued to impress both audiences and critics with her friendly, accessible and intelligent screen presence. Her projects run the gamut from current affairs to movies and the arts.
As a journalist she is currently the film critic for Harpers And Queen and has a weekly dilemma column in The Observer Magazine, while her book reviews and travel pieces appear regularly in the press. She has also been a member of the Booker-Mann Prize panel.

Mariella Frostrup talks to novelist and journalist Tony Parsons as he moves into new territory in 'The Family Way' his new book about three sisters and their paths to parenthood. The programme also discusses a new novel, 'Maps for Lost Lovers' by Nadeem Aslam, which centres around a Pakistani community in a fictitious English town rocked by a so-called honour killing and to mark the 100th anniversary of the Nobel prize winning writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, novelist Paul Bailey guides us through his work.
