Over a fifteen-year TV career she has continued to impress both audiences and critics with her friendly, accessible and intelligent screen presence. Her projects run the gamut from current affairs to movies and the arts.
As a journalist she is currently the film critic for Harpers And Queen and has a weekly dilemma column in The Observer Magazine, while her book reviews and travel pieces appear regularly in the press. She has also been a member of the Booker-Mann Prize panel.

Mariella Fostrup talks to one of Britain's foremost novelists Pat Barker about her new novel Double Vision which looks at our relationship with the imagery of conflict. Stephen Sharkey is a foreign correspondent who has hung up his flak jacket and is attempting to make sense of what he's seen in Bosnia, Afghanistan, andon September 11th 2001.
Best known for her Regeneration Trilogy, Pat Barker explains why she has continued to return to the themes of war, sexuality and class. She also explains why her husband is her ideal reader and her views on the art of writing a good sex scene.
