Peter Doig Peter Doig is an internationally admired British painter who emerged during the early 1990s, when he made his name with his distinctive approach to figurative painting. Using photographic images from newspapers or snapshots as a starting point, he recasts everyday imagery to present imaginary, evocative landscapes and figure scenes.
