Tom Wolfe on his new novel "I am Charlotte Simmons"
American author Tom Wolfe took off his trademark white suit to research his latest novel "I am Charlotte Simmons" which looks at the life of teenagers on an American college campus. The 74 year old author talks to Mark Lawson about sexual pressures on the young, the way they swear and his literary feud with John Irving.

I am Charlotte Simmons is out now in hardback.


Forty Winks - Kevin Elyot's new play at the Royal Court Theatre
Novelist Justin Cartwright reviews the new play from the author of My Night With Reg. In Forty Winks, Kevin Elyot looks at sexual obsession and how the arrival of an old flame disrupts family life.

Forty Winks is on at the Royal Court Theatre in London until December 4th
