ANDREAS SCHOLL
Countertenor Andreas Scholl traces the source of the arias on his new disc Arcadia back to the Academy founded by Queen Christina of Sweden in 17th century Rome. He is joined by Roderick Swanston of the Royal College of Music and Veronica Buckley, author of a new biography of Queen Christina.
Veronica Buckley's biography of Queen Christina of Sweden is out in April. Andreas Scholl's CD 'Arcadia' is out 23rd February on the Decca label. He is performing at the Barbican in London on the 25th February.
