JB PRIESTLEY
Twenty years after he formed his famous theatre group in 1901 JB Priestley moved it to the new Civic theatre in Bradford. It was announced today that the Priestley Centre for the Arts will cease trading on the 20th of January at the end of the current production of Ronald Harwood's Quartet. Perhaps Priestley would have been surprised that it had lasted so long. His comments about the theatre appear in English Journey(1934). Listen to the feature
