THE GOOD GIRL
Jennifer Aniston swaps her glamorous role as Rachel in Friends to play the part of Justine Last in The Good Girl. Trapped in a loveless marriage with a dope-smoking husband and worn down by her boring supermarket job, Justine seeks solace in the arms of enigmatic loner, Holden. Critic Antonia Quirke reviews.

INTERNATIONAL THINK TANK FOR BALLET DIRECTORS
Dance critic Judith Mackrell, and James Kudelka from the National Ballet of Canada assess the impact of an international think tank for ballet directors which will be held this weekend at Snape Maltings in Suffolk.

FRANZ KROETZ
A new production of Through the Leaves by Germany's most performed playwright after Brecht, opens at the Southwark Playhouse in London tomorrow. Front Row explores it's writer, Frantz Koetz, is practically unknown in this country.

Through the Leaves, translated by Anthony Vivis, with Simon Callow and Ann Mitchell, runs at the Southwark Playhouse, London until 1 February

JB PRIESTLEY
Twenty years after he formed his famous theatre group in 1901 JB Priestley moved it to the new Civic theatre in Bradford. It was announced today that the Priestley Centre for the Arts will cease trading on the 20th of January at the end of the current production of Ronald Harwood's Quartet. Perhaps Priestley would have been surprised that it had lasted so long. His comments about the theatre appear in English Journey(1934).
