WHO OWNS SILENCE?
Mark Lawson follows up one of the most unusual copyright disputes in musical history.

Today an out-of-court settlement was reached between musician Mike Batt, producer of A One Minute Silence and Nicholas Riddle, managing director of the publishers of John Cage's composition 4'33" in which an orchestra remains silent. They join Mark to discuss the use of silence in musical performance.

Mark Lawson talks to choreographer Siobhan Davies in a disused aircraft hanger where she and her dance company are putting on their latest performance.

The Siobhan Davies company are taking Plants and Ghosts on tour to the Victoria Miro Gallery in London, Salt Mills in Saltaire, Yorkshire, Spike Island artists’ complex in Bristol and the Corn Exchange in Brighton.
