UNCLE VANYA
At the Donmar Theatre in London last night a much-anticipated production of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya opened. The critic and academic Susan Hitch and the former Moscow corresponadent John Lloyd give their verdict on the play, directed by Sam Mendes.

Uncle Vanya is at the Donmar Warehouse in London until 20 November

JOHN HURT
Francine Stock talks to John Hurt about his role as Andrei in the Gate Theatre Dublin's production of Afterplay.

Afterplay opens at the Gielgud Theatre tomorrow night and will run until November 30.

GOEBBELS AND GEDULDIG
Francine Stock talk to Peter Steinbach, writer of the German comedy about the Nazi regime, Goebbels and Geduldig
and then to Judy Ironside, the Artistic Director of the Brighton Jewish Film Festival, which screened the film last year.

Goebbels and Geduldig will be shown on the German ARD network on 20th November and this year’s Brighton Jewish Film Festival will run from 12-24 October.
