 | | | TODD HAYNES, director of Far From Heaven.
Far From Heaven tells the story of a 1950's housewife whose perfect life is destroyed when she discovers her husband kissing another man. The film is a conscious homage to and re-working of Douglas Sirk's classic 50's films All That Heaven Allows and Imitation of Life. Joe Cornish asks Todd Haynes if it’s necessary to know the films of Douglas Sirk to fully appreciate his film.

Robert de Niro and Billy Crystal
Here at Back Row we're used to the challenge of trying to get something interesting out of a star in a short period of time. But sometimes the time we're offered is so ridiculously short we simply have to say no. In the past we've turned down a five minute interview with Jennifer Lopez and four minutes with John Travolta. But we couldn't say no to seven minutes with De Niro and Crystal. Hear what they have to say...
