Join Ian McMillan on The Verb with a very special guest - one of the most popular poets in Britain today, Wendy Cope.
She has influenced a generation of women poets, and writes about everyday life, ranging from love and chimpanzees in politics to whether a corner of Westminster Abbey could be set aside for famous engineers. She talks to Ian about how using form when writing releases her to write freely, and how her poetry has been used in workplace training.
Also on the programme, poets Ravi Shankar and Hamid Ismailov, find out how Dockers MC's feet turned up in a poem, and hear award winning author Ruth Thomas read an extract from her new short story, Super Girl.
