Ian McMillan presents the programme live from the Radio Theatre in Broadcasting House. He is joined on stage by acclaimed Australian poet John Kinsella and by The Verb's own 'eartoonist' - musician and lyricist Peter Blegvad.

The Verb comes live from the Radio Theatre at Broadcasting House.
Ian McMillan will be joined on stage by acclaimed Australian poet John Kinsella who has used Edmund Burke's Enquiry Into The Sublime and Beautiful as the springboard for his new collection. Also joining Ian are Henry Hitchings whose new history of English concentrates on the many hundreds of words that started life in other languages; and Verb regular Peter Blegvad with one of his inimitable Eartoons. Songwriter, artist and now poet Ed Barton will share his work and Barb Jungr has written a new song especially for the show, using some of the borrowed words in Henry's book.
