Now its time for the Ian McMillan challenge - pull on your goggles and your preferred swimwear and join The Verb as it plunges into the sea of language and literature.

This week there's a specially commissioned account of a trip to South Georgia by the acclaimed novelist, Jon McGregor.

The distinguished poet, James Berry, reads from his latest book - Windrush Songs - a volume that examines the deep turbulence created by one of the most famous voyages in recent Caribbean and British history; and there's a chance to dive off the highest of high boards with the rap star, K'Naan - chosen recently as newcomer of the year in the Radio 3 World Music Awards.

Once Ian's surfaced and had a chance to draw breath he'll be exploring the thrilling translation project - Poet to Poet - with Polly Clark and Antony Dunn; two of the writers who've been involved in the latest project to bring the British sensibility face to face with the leading practitioners in Israel.

That's all on The Verb with Ian McMillan here on BBC Radio 3.
