Alexander Armstrong
Sunday 26 August 2007 12:00-13:00 (Radio 3)
Michael Berkeley's guest is actor and comedian Alexander Armstrong, one of the most successful guest presenters of Have I Got News for You, and the star of TV shows such as Beast (where he played the animal-hating vet) and TLC.
He nearly became a professional singer rather than an actor, and his musical choices include Stanford's Nunc dimittis sung by the choir of Trinity College, Cambridge (in which he sings the bass solo), an aria from Bach's St Matthew Passion, Beethoven's Symphony No 7 and Strauss's Till Eulenspiegel.
