Lord Patten

Sunday 6 November 2005 12:00-13:00 (Radio 3)

Michael Berkeley's guest is Lord Patten, the former Conservative MP who became the last British Governor of Hong Kong and subsequently European Commissioner for foreign relations. An outspoken politician, he has recently published a memoir, Not Quite the Diplomat.

His musical choices include a Handel aria sung by Andreas Scholl, the quartet from Beethoven's Fidelio, Haydn's Cello Concerto in C, and Hoagy Carmichael's Riverboat Shuffle.
