Germaine Greer talks to Isabel Hilton about the problem of race in Australia. Greer's book Whitefella Jump Up, argues that it is the settler community, the 'whitefellas', who are out of control in Australia, not the Aborigines. Also, a new exhibition of the paintings of W R Sickert on display at Abbott Hall in Cumbria.

Writer and broadcaster, Germaine Greer talks to Isabel Hilton about her fears for Australia and her conviction that the country’s future lies in becoming an Aboriginal Republic. There’ll also be a review of a new exhibition of paintings by Walter Sickert whose depiction of everyday experience gave 19th century English art its very own Impressionist. And the music historian, David Katz will be pondering the mystery of dub reggae and the achievement of one of its creators, King Tubby – an anthology of whose work is released on Monday.
