Richard Ingrams discovers much in common with another angry old man of history, the poet William Cobbett, when he talks about his biography of the 18th century radical to Paul Allen.
Programme Details
Richard Ingrams, founder of Private Eye and editor of The Oldie, discusses with Paul Allen his biography of William Cobbett - the radical journalist, politician, essayist, agriculturalist and equestrian traveller who is regarded as one of the greatest writers of English prose.
Poet and writer Ruth Padel relates her quest for the elusive, dangerous animal they call the soul of Asia: the tiger - a search that took her from Bhutan to Far East Russia and China. She discusses the fate of tigers as the pressures of the modern world encroach upon their territories.
And we announce the winners of this year's Royal Institute of British Architects Awards live from the ceremony in London.
