The Culture of the Workplace

Philip Dodd will be presents a special edition of Night Waves examining the changing culture of the workplace.

From the young ambitious candidates hoping to become Alan Sugar's new apprentice on BBC1 to David Brent's staff in 'The Office' and the advertising executives facing the sack in Joshua Ferris's novel 'Then we came to the end' the workplace is central to our culture.

Philip is joined by Richard Reeves, the Director of Futures at the Industrial Society and Royal Mail chairman Allan Leighton, whose new book offers an insight into the complexity of leading businesses in the 21st Century.

Also joining the discussion are Author Joshua Ferris and Madeleine Bunting whose book 'Willing Slaves' examines the culture of overwork and why millions of workers are facing burn-out.
