Programme Details Following the death of Arthur Miller, announced earlier today, Night Waves presents a special edition of the programme looking back over his life and work.
Paul Allen hears from writers: David Edgar, Alan Ayckbourn and Gore Vidal. He talks to directors: Nicholas Hytner, who filmed The Crucible ; Michael Rudman who directed Warren Mitchell and Dustin Hoffman in Death Of A Salesman ; and from Michael Blakemore who directed Miller's most recent play. And Paul is joined in the studio by critics Elaine Showalter and Susannah Clapp, actor Henry Goodman, and by Professor Christopher Bigsby - not only a world authority on Arthur Miller, but also a friend.
