Cranach the Elder
The artist Grayson Perry and religious philosopher Philip Blond view a major exhibition devoted to Cranach the Elder, one of the most distinctive artists of the German Renaissance and close friend of Martin Luther, joining Isabel to discuss Cranach's striking Medieval portraits and look into how this art met the propaganda machine for Luther and his Reformation. You can see more images in our gallery.

Cranach the Elder is on at the Royal Academy till 8th June.

A Couple of Poor, Polish-speaking Romanians
And we review the playwriting debut from Darota Maslowska a 24 year old phenomenon in Poland who has already won the highest Polish literary award with her second novel. Aleks Sierz sees her play: 'A Couple of Poor, Polish-Speaking Romanians' which opens in London this week, and promises dark ironic insights into the dangers of being different.

And as the Vatican accepts a proposal to place a statue of Galileo in the Vatican we look at how the Pope is forging a new relationship between the Catholic Church and its history.
