Isabel Hilton talks to the young Chinese novelist Xiaolu Guo about her new book, '20 Fragments of a Ravenous Youth'. Guo draws on her own experiences as a film-maker to tell the story of Fenfang who has travelled 1800 miles from her village to make a life in the city.

He had been convicted in 2005 of the crime of 'Insulting Turkish identity' after writing about the Armenian 'genocide' of 1915.
